Empowered Stitches & Mystical Vibes

A 20-year journey in witchcraft, overcoming resistance and embracing personal resonance with candles, herbs, and crystals. From Celtic and Nordic traditions to quantum physics, it’s about universal connection and energy. The challenge? Integrating magic into everyday life. Brave and unapologetic, it’s about self-expression, empowerment, and the excitement of the unknown future.

I’ve been a dabbler in witchcraft for over 20 years now, which feels strange to write out loud. My journey began with an obsession with all things mystical—Silver Ravenwolf’s books were among my first guides, and I idolized shows like Sabrina the Teenage Witch and The Craft. But it wasn’t all rainbows and butterflies. Growing up in a divided home, religion was a battlefield, and my interest in anything remotely magical was met with resistance. I was even told that reading Harry Potter was equivalent to conspiring with the devil. If that’s your belief, then I’d suggest finding another blog to follow—because this one is about to get a whole lot witchier. Hahaha.

Finding Resonance in the Elements

Over the years, I’ve found that candle work and herbs resonate with me the most. There’s something deeply grounding about focusing your attention on a flickering flame or the scent of a particular herb, letting your mind clear and settle into a meditative state. Trust me, it’s not as hard as it sounds, even for someone like me who was diagnosed with ADHD later in life. And let’s not forget my love affair with rocks and crystals—I can’t get enough of them.

My connection to witchcraft isn’t just about the tools or rituals; it’s about the stories and symbols that have been woven into the fabric of our world through mythology. I have a long list of influences—Vikings, pirates, fairies, vampires, witches. I tend to gravitate toward Celtic and Nordic traditions, which feels like a natural fit, especially since I recently learned through DNA testing that this is my ancestry. It’s funny how things come full circle like that.

Embracing the Dark Moon

While many witches use the Dark Moon for banishment, I’ve always felt that it holds untapped power—power that we often overlook. To me, the Dark Moon is where we go to be with the parts of ourselves we usually keep hidden. Except, instead of keeping them in the shadows, I’m bringing mine out to play. Lol.

I don’t really follow a specific pantheon, and while I don’t believe in a single god to rule them all, I do believe in universal connection. We’re all part of the same source, and that’s where I find my spiritual grounding. Instead of deities, I believe in energy. My fascination with this concept has even led me to study quantum physics, which I see as another way to understand how everything is interconnected.

Creating a Ritual for Creativity

I’ll be honest: I haven’t developed a specific ritual for when I enter a creative space—yet. But after thinking about it, I realize I want to! Every day brings new ideas, and everyone’s practice is always evolving. Mine is currently in that stage of evolution, creating open space for new concepts and inspirations to flow in. So, here’s to new rituals and the magic they might bring!

Integrating Magic into Everyday Life

The biggest challenge I’m facing right now is simply integrating my practices into everyday life. It’s one thing to light a candle or meditate when you have time, but making it a regular part of your routine is another. So, I’m taking a deep breath and just doing the thing. I’ll keep moving forward with this approach—sometimes the most powerful magic is simply in showing up.

Balancing Privacy and Authenticity

I do have some concerns about sharing these spiritual aspects of my life. I know that some people believe these practices should remain 100% private. And, to be honest, some of my spiritual practices are—well, sexy. But that’s the beauty of it. Just because it’s called “content” doesn’t mean that’s all it is. For me, my content is self-expression and magic rolled into one.

I hope that by sharing my journey, I can empower others to explore their own paths, whatever they may be. This is my experience, and it’s personal, yes—but it’s also something I believe in sharing with those who are open to it.

Embracing the Present and Welcoming the New

As for what’s next? I honestly have no idea. All I know is that I’m open to new ideas and experiences. Right now, I’m caught up in enjoying this moment, embracing the present, and letting the future unfold as it will.
